CHAIR-BASED YOGA

Yoga is meant to be inclusive, not exclusive. Chair yoga is the use of 1 to 2 chairs, a mat, strap and blocks, if available. We do breath work to calm our bodies and teach our body that when something is uncomfortable or difficult that it’s not an emergency and we can use our breath to get through it. We build strength through yoga poses adapted for the chair. We play soothing music and create an atmosphere of ease and safety. Chair based yoga is beneficial to everyone. You will build strength and flexibility; stress reduction; activate your mind and body, and increase listening skills.
